Antonie Griezmann is being linked to a move to Los Angeles Football Club, but with two days left in the MLS transfer window, the deal could happen this winter or next summer.
According to Tom Bogert, he will sign Antonie Griezmann to LAFC this summer or next. But with two days left of the transfer window, it’s going to be tight to make it happen this summer. This year, LAFC signed Hugo Lloris, and a week ago, the Black and Gold announced the signing of Olivier Giroud.
During Oliver Giroud’s press conference, he said Griezmann had told him “we’ll see,” when asked about moving to Los Angeles.
Grezmann scored 24 goals in all competitions last season, which is not bad for the 33-year-old. However, Atletico Madrid wants to move on and compete with rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid for the La Liga title this coming season.
Real Madrid signed Kylian Mbappe and Endrick, and they already have a squad to compete. Barcelona signed Dani Olmo, Pau Victor, and Fermin Lopez, who had impressive Olympic performances in Paris.
Atletico de Madrid signed Julian Alvarez from Manchester City, Robin Le Normand, and they are on the verge of signing Conor Gallagher from Chelsea. Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simone knows that his squad needs major changes.
Los Rojiblancos also made some departures, including Alvaro Morata, Caglar Soyuncu, Stefan Savic, Gabriel Paulista, and Saul Niguez. Atletico de Madrid is taking the summer transfer window seriously as they are aiming for the title.
As for Antonie Griezmann, going to the MLS would be perfect for him since he likes the American lifestyle and sports culture, particularly the NBA and NFL.
If he comes to the Black and Gold, LAFC has top-quality players up front. With Antonie Griezmann, the LAFC attack would be dangerous, causing loads of problems upfront.
LAFC must do everything in two days to complete the deal, catch up with Messi’s Inter Miami, Real Salt Lake, and La Galaxy, and win the MLS Cup for the second time.
