Anaheim Ducks vs Los Angeles Kings
Head to Head: Ducks 1 – 2 Kings
Time: 10:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)
TV: SN1; Hulu; Disney+; ESPN+
The Anaheim Ducks (35-35-8) travel up the 5 freeway to face the Los Angeles Kings (44-24-9) at Crypto.com Arena on April 10th. This marks the fourth and final meeting between these Pacific Division rivals this season, with the Kings leading the series 2–1. The Kings, having clinched a playoff berth, aim to solidify their seeding, while the Ducks look to play spoiler and build momentum for next season.
Anaheim Ducks Embracing the Spoiler Role
The Ducks are coming off an improbable but exciting win against the Flames. Down by two with under four minutes to go, the Ducks scored twice in nine seconds to tie the game. Cutter Gauthier scored the OT winner on a great set up by Leo Carlsson – a dynamic duo, Ducks fans are hoping will be the next Getzlaf/Perry or Kariya/Selanne.

The win all but extinguishes the Flames playoff hopes. Prior to that, Anaheim secured a 3–2 victory over a banged-up Edmonton Oilers squad on April 7th, showcasing their potential to disrupt playoff-bound teams.
Offensively, the Ducks have seen contributions from their young core. Mason McTavish leads the team with 21 goals, while Troy Terry tops the assists chart with 33 helpers. Defensively, goaltender Lukas Dostal has been a workhorse, posting a 23-21-6 record with a 3.05 GAA and a .905 save percentage. Since Ville Husso started last night against Calgary, expect Dostal in the cage for this one. Injuries have impacted the lineup, with key players like John Gibson and Jacob Trouba listed as day-to-day.
As the season winds down, Anaheim is focused on evaluating talent and building chemistry. Facing a formidable opponent like the Kings provides an opportunity to test their mettle and potentially influence the playoff landscape.
Los Angeles Kings Fine-Tuning for the Playoffs
The Kings have been in impressive form, boasting a 7-3-0 record in their last ten games. Their recent success includes a 3–0 shutout victory over all-but-certain first-round opponent the Edmonton Oilers on April 5th.
Offensively, Adrian Kempe has been a standout, leading the team with 33 goals and 64 points. Captain Anze Kopitar continues to be a playmaking and Selke-candidate force with 43 assists. Between the pipes, Darcy Kuemper has been stellar. He’s second in the NHL with a 2.03 goals against average and tied for third with a .922 save percentage.
Injuries are a concern, with key defensemen Drew Doughty and Joel Edmundson listed as day-to-day. Despite these setbacks, Los Angeles is focused on maintaining momentum and securing home-ice advantage in the postseason. If home-ice is critical to any team, it’s the Kings. The Kings are tied for second in the league with 29 home wins and have only lost in regulation 5 times at Crypto.com Arena. They are 29-5-4 at home and 15-19-5 on the road this season.
NHL Predictions
The Kings have dominated the Ducks over the past few seasons, and with playoff positioning at stake, they are likely to bring a high level of intensity. Anaheim, while out of contention, has shown the ability to challenge top teams. However, considering Los Angeles’ recent form and superior depth, they are favored to continue their winning ways.
Prediction: Kings win 4–2
Prop Bets of the Night
We close out our NHL Predictions for the Anaheim Ducks vs Los Angeles Kings with some of our preferred prop bets of the night. There have been many “Duck-killers” over the years. Few as prolific as Adrian Kempe. Strongly consider his anytime goal pick (+145). Also, consider the Kings puckline/over 5.5 parlay (+170). Season record: (20-34).
