The Los Angeles Kings have been selected to host the 2025 NHL Draft. This year, the draft will take place in downtown Los Angeles at the L.A. Live’s Peacock Theater. The Peacock Theater is home to both music and theater as well as seating 7,100 and holding the largest indoor stage in the United States. The draft will take place over two days, Friday, June 27 and Saturday, June 28.
The first round of the draft will take place on Friday and rounds 2-7 will conclude on Saturday. NHL top prospects hopeful of getting drafted will be in the same room virtually as NHL club executives, scouts, and coaches.
On Friday, round one can be seen on ESPN, ESPN+, Sportsnet, and TVA Sports. Round 2-7 can bee seen on NHL Network, ESPN+, Sportsnet, and SN1. Trading card company Upper Deck returns as the NHL Draft title sponsor for the fourth straight season.
While the date and location for the 2025 NHL Draft have been finalized, there has been no date set for the 2025 NHL Draft Lottery, which is typically held a month before the draft. News about the lottery should start to hit in the coming weeks.
This will be the first time since 2000 the Kings will host the draft and the second time overall. The L.A. Live’s Peacock Theater is a great venue to hold such a premium event for the NHL.
