The Los Angeles Kings have announced their full 2024-25 preseason schedule ahead of the new season. Los Angeles had previously announced that they would be playing two games in Quebec City, Canada against the Florida Panthers and Boston Bruins. They will play six games in total, with every game being away from crytpo.com arena, home of the Kings. One game will have the Kings playing in the Frozen Fury, while two other games will be played in previously mentioned Quebec City, with those games wrapping up the preseason schedule.
Kings primed to be a threat this season
The Kings will play the Vegas Golden Knights in back-to-back games to open the exhibition season, with the first game being held in Salt Lake City, Utah. Los Angeles will also play the Anaheim Ducks twice, with game two being part of the Empire Classic in Ontario, California. Below is the full 2024-25 preseason schedule:
Monday, September 23 vs the Vegas Golden Knights (Frozen Fury in Salt Lake City, Utah) Tuesday, September 24 at the Vegas Golden Knights Thursday, September 26 at the Anaheim Ducks Saturday, September 28 vs the Anaheim Ducks (Empire Classic in Ontario, California) Thursday, October 3 vs the Boston Bruins (played in Quebec City) Saturday, October 5 vs the Florida Panthers (played in Quebec City)
Some prospects from the Kings development camp will likely make their debuts in these games as Los Angeles wants to get a good look at their rookies and prospects. These players will report to camp on June 30, 2024 and be ready for development camp, which runs July 1-3 2024. Most of the 2023-24 Kings will get their legs going in most of the contests, while other players may include free agents, players from trades, or players invited to camp.
Training camp this season may look a bit different as the roster may change a bit. Los Angeles has nine players who are either restricted free agents or unrestricted free agents and, if they choose to go elsewhere, could open the door for prospects to join the main roster over this time. A lot for the prospects to prove during this time as the Kings may be looking for fresh, new blood in the lineup this season.
