NHL Predictions

Chicago Blackhawks vs Detroit Red Wings

2024-25 Season Series: Blackhawks 0-2 Red Wings

How to Watch:

U.S TV: Chicago Sports Network; Fan Duel Sports Detroit; NHL Network

Time: 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)

We open up NHL predictions wth our featured game between the Blackhawks and Red Wings. Spencer Knight is the expected starter for Chicago, but always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Blackhawks have won their last two games and are 5-3-2 in their last 10 games. Connor Bedard and Tyler Bertuzzi are tied for the team’s lead in goals with eight. However, Bedard is first in assists (10) and points (18).

John Gibson is the confirmed starter for the Red Wings, who are 5-5 in their last 10 games. Detroit has also lost its last two games entering this matchup with its old rivals. The Wings are 5-2 at Little Caesars Arena so far this campaign. Dylan Larkin is tops in goals (8) and points (18) so far this season. Alex DeBrincat leads in assists with 11 already.

Chicago is coming off a pair of victories, but Detroit gets the victory at home. Note the early start time for fantasy and betting purposes.

Prediction: Red Wings win 4-3.

Seattle Kraken vs Dallas Stars

2024-25 Season Series: Kraken 0-3 Stars

How to Watch:

U.S TV: Victory+; KHN; KONG: ESPN+

Canada TV: SN Pacific

Time: 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)

Our next game of NHL predictions has the Seattle Kraken visiting the Dallas Stars. Matt Murray is the projected starter for the Kraken, who are 5-3-2 in the last 10 games. Seattle struggles to score goals, averaging 2.71 goals per game. However, the Kraken are tied for 10th in goals allowed with 2.93. Jordan Eberle is leading the team in goals (5) and points (11).

Casey DeSmith is the probable starter for the Stars, who are 5-2-3 in the last 10 games. Dallas has seemingly emerged from an early-season funk. Mikko Rantanen is first on assists (13) and points (21). However, Wyatt Johnston is topping the goal-scoring category with nine.

Both clubs are coming off victories. However, the Stars will come out on top.

Prediction: Stars win 4-2.

Colorado Avalanche vs Vancouver Canucls

2024-25 Season Series: Avalanche 0-3 Canucks

How to Watch:

U.S TV: Altitude: ESPN+

Canada TV: SN Pacific

Time: 10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)

Our final game of NHL predictions has the Colorado Avalanche visiting the Vancouver Canucks. Mackenzie Blackwood is the projected starter for the Avalanche after Scott Wedgewood got the call the night before. Colorado is coming off an impressive 9-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers. Nathan MacKinnon is off to a blistering start with 12 goals and 12 assists for 24 points.

Vancouver is expected to go with Jiri Patera in goal for his first start of the season. The Canucks are 4-6 in the last 10 games, but are coming off a victory the last time out. Vancouver has struggled at both ends of the ice when it comes to giving up and scoring goals. Kiefer Sherwood is first in goals with nine, but Conor Garland is first in points with 12.

Colorado is coming off a massive win and should keep that momentum going.

Prediction: Avalanche win 5-2.

Prop Bets of the Night

We close out NHL predictions with some prop bets of the night. Let’s stick with our last game for our preferred props. The over/under for the Canucks and Avalanche is 6.5, and we ike the over in this one.

As for individual props, go with Cale Makar to get over 1.5 assists in this game for Colorado. On the Vancouver side, take Elias Pettersson (the forward) to get an anytime goal.
