We open up NHL predictions with the Chicago Blackhawks battling the Buffalo Sabres. Arvid Soderblom is the expected starter for Chicago, but always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Blackhawks are coming with a 6-2-2 mark in the last 10 games. This includes victories in four of their previous five games. Connor Bedard is off to a great start to the season with 13 goals and 16 assists for 29 points.
Alex Lyon is the projected starter for the Sabres, who are 3-5-2 in their previous 10 games. Buffalo has been a respectable 6-4-2 in games played at the KeyBank Center. Tage Thompson is leading the club in goals (10) and points (18), while Rasmus Dahlin is first in assists with 13.
Chicago is starting to realize some of its potential, while Buffalo is already last in the Atlantic Division.
Prediction: Blackhawks win 5-2.
