Will Puka Nacua play this week? Sean McVay shares injury update on Rams WR

November 1, 2024 by Rams Wire

Puka Nacua’s knee has been troublesome this season, causing him to miss part of training camp and then five weeks in the regular season after he aggravated the injury in Week 1. He returned in Week 8 but then left practice early on Thursday after injuring the same knee that’s given him problems this season.

The initial reports said Nacua’s knee injury isn’t believed to be serious and Sean McVay confirmed that news on Friday during his press conference. He provided an update on the Rams receiver ahead of Sunday’s game against the Seahawks, sharing the latest news on the second-year player.

Puka Nacua injury update

McVay said on Friday that Nacua “banged his knee just a little bit,” but there’s no structural damage, which is great news for him and the Rams. Nacua will be listed as questionable to play against the Seahawks, and McVay “wouldn’t bet against” him suiting up in Seattle.

How long will Puka Nacua be out?

It’s unclear whether Nacua will be out for any amount of time with this knee injury, especially with McVay saying he has a chance to play this weekend against the Seahawks.

Rams WR depth chart

Starter Backup
WR1 Cooper Kupp Tutu Atwell
WR2 Puka Nacua Tyler Johnson
WR3 Demarcus Robinson Jordan Whittington

If Nacua can’t play against the Seahawks and is out any amount of time, Tutu Atwell and Tyler Johnson would be the next players up behind Cooper Kupp and Demarcus Robinson. Jordan Whittington could also be a contributor but his status is uncertain for Sunday, too.
