The annual tradition of other NFL teams poaching coaches from Sean McVay’s staff in Los Angeles has continued this year, with several assistants leaving the Rams for opportunities elsewhere. It’s a testament to the job McVay does developing coaches and preparing them for jobs around the league, but it also tasks him with replacing multiple members of his staff each year.
Thus far, the Rams have lost a handful of assistant coaches already, none bigger than defensive coordinator Raheem Morris. And with that hire by the Falcons, Morris brought two more Rams assistants with him to Atlanta.
