The Los Angeles Rams posted a clip of recently claimed corner Emmanuel Forbes’ first practice with the team on X, and it went viral beyond belief. As of Thursday afternoon, the post currently has 5.6M views on the social media platform along with over 1,100 reposts/quotes, 570 comments, and nearly 5,000 likes:

Looking over the team’s recent activity on the platform, no other posts seemed to bring the same level of attention.

Head coach Sean McVay’s victory speech from last week’s win over the New Orleans Saints garnered only 56,000 eyeballs. A clip of Puka Nacua scoring the go-ahead touchdown in New Orleans has 78,000 views. Jared Verse’s awesome bull rush on Sunday Night Football versus the Philadelphia Eagles was seen 155,000 times. Even some of the Rams’ more popular posts do not rival the video of Forbes from his first practice.

NFL fans from all over reacted to the Forbes clip. Most were commenting on his slight stature.

Forbes weighed 166 pounds at the 2023 scouting combine before being selected by the Washington Commanders 16th overall. Fortunately, the Rams have the luxury of being patient with his development. It’s to the player’s benefit that he wasn’t claimed by a team in a desperate situation that needs him on the field sooner than later. That could allow him time to add more weight to his frame and grow into a long-term contributor in Los Angeles.
