The Los Angeles Rams didn’t have a good candidate for the franchise tag this offseason, allowing their top free agents to hit the market. Several other teams used the tag to retain their prized free agents (for now), but that doesn’t mean they’re certain to remain with their current team.
Tagged players are eligible to be traded and there are three stars who could be targets for the Rams. L’Jarius Sneed, Tee Higgins and Brian Burns were all tagged this offseason and if the Rams are feeling aggressive this offseason — which they seem to be — they should call the Chiefs, Bengals and Panthers about the availability of the aforementioned players.
The Rams would need to sign the acquired player to a long-term contract, and the cost to acquire one of them could be high, but it’s at least a slight possibility that the Rams would be interested in them. Here are three potential trade candidates for Los Angeles this offseason.
