Puka Nacua exited Sunday’s practice with the Los Angeles Chargers after going down in the end zone with a knee injury and he was unable to return. After practice ended, Sean McVay didn’t have an update on Nacua’s status, only saying that he wasn’t sure what happened.
On Monday, Adam Schefter reported that although Nacua avoided a serious knee injury, he is considered week-to-week. That’s decent news for the Rams, who still have a month until the start of the regular season.
However, with so many players going down, particularly on offense, the Rams will be missing several key starters for the next few weeks – an all-important part of the offseason leading up to Week 1.

Nacua didn’t miss a single game last season but he was banged up throughout the year, exiting multiple games with bumps and bruises. He plays as hard as anyone, something the Rams don’t want to change, but they are aware of the toll it takes on his body playing the physical style of football that he does.
While Nacua is out, Tutu Atwell and Jordan Whittington could get more reps with the first-team offense alongside Cooper Kupp and Demarcus Robinson.
