Who will be the standout player of the game this week when the Los Angeles Rams play the New York Giants? The Rams have a number of different weapons on both sides of the ball and have proved to be able to mix it up from game to game. Here are a few names to watch as the potential standout for week six.
MATTHEW STAFFORD
Stafford could be the player of the game for the first three games throwing nine touchdowns in just that span. But in the last two outings we’ve seen the hot start normalize a bit with two touchdowns in week four and just one in week five. However, Stafford has had five games to improve communication and timing with the offense and might be lined up for another big performance like the four touchdown game he had against the Tampa Buccaneers.
COOPER KUPP
Kupp is averaging 104.6 yards per game and has five touchdowns already this season. With Robert Woods and DeSean Jackson coming off big performances in week four and week five, the Giants defense might be spread enough for Kupp to get loose. Kupp had two touchdown games twice this season but has since then been held out of the end zone in the last two games. Look for Kupp to get back to scoring this week, maybe with another two touchdown performance.
AARON DONALD
AD has three sacks this season so far and may be due for a multi sack game against the Giants. New York will be without their starting running back Saquon Barkley, so they might lean on the pass game more than they normally would but not only are they missing their primary rusher but also their top pass blocking back. If the Rams secondary can hold up, Donald will be able to get home and if the secondary is weakened due to the injury to Darious Williams, it will more critical for Donald and the pass rushers to get to the quarterback.
