We know a writer’s name because they are good at it, and Albert Breer is pretty darn good at it. He used the idea of cornerbacks in today’s NFL being speed bumps not stops signs and I am here for it (did he take that line from some inside the Rams? Whos to say?).

“In a recent Sports Illustrated mailbag, insider Albert Breer underscored this shift. While acknowledging the team’s mix of “reclamation projects” in Ahkello Witherspoon and Darious Williams and the addition of former first-round pick Emmanuel Forbes Jr., Breer noted a growing belief inside the organization: that in today’s NFL, cornerbacks are “more speed bumps than stop signs.” Translation? The Rams no longer see elite coverage as essential to stopping offenses—pressure up front now rules.”
This is brilliant because in theory you can apply it to any team, but you can absolutely apply it to the Los Angeles Rams, and you can apply on it a wholistic level: They deal with speed bumps, not stop signs.
When this team decides to move on, the move on. No if ands or buts. On one side, it’s cruel (especially when you love Cooper Kupp), on the other hand, when you gotta go you gotta go.

“Nacua was extremely efficient, with a 74.5% catch rate on 106 targets last year. The Los Angeles Rams moved on from Cooper Kupp this offseason but replaced him with Davante Adams, which could be an upgrade.”
