Random Ramsdom: Jared Verse talks Eagles fans

Jared Verse and Philadelphia Eagles fans seem to have a mutual respect for each other, and it’s somewhat cool to watch as a follower of the NFL. Eagles’ fans can be ruthless when you don’t play well, but when you do play well, you’ll likely to get their attention in a different way.

Rams’ Jared Verse changes tune, says Eagles have best opposing fan base: ‘I’ve got to give them that’ (nfl.com)

“Probably the Eagles,” Verse told Whistle Sports in an interview when asked to name the NFL’s best opposing fan base. “I’ve got to give them that. I like when you kind of like get into it, you’re aggressive, you’re loud and all that stuff. They stand by that with no doubt.”

Verse wasn’t so complimentary in January, when the rookie pass rusher bluntly expressed his distaste for the Philly faithful.

“I hate Eagles fans,” he said at the time. “They’re so annoying. I hate Eagles fans.”

The Rams and the Eagles should play each other then, so maybe Verse will have more to say around that time, or maybe he’ll let his play do the talking.

Thanks for checking out Turf Show Times and have a great Monday!

Rams’ Quentin Lake Speaks on Teammates’ Hall of Fame Chances (si.com)

“No doubt in my mind that he’s the first ballot Hall of Famer,” stated Lake. “There is a reason, I’ll tell you this. The truest measure of performance is consistency, and this is a guy that’s done it year in and year. Obviously, the tenure during his Lions, he might not have gotten to the playoffs or anything like that, but he showed how much of a dog he was and every time we’re in the locker room or we’re on the field, we always call him a dog.”

This Rams veteran’s camp reps are starting to feel like something bigger

*While injuries happen, and there is no way to truly determine what might have been had Puka Nacua competed in a full 17-game season in 2024, it’s clear that his record-setting rookie season was not a fluke. He has been a consistently elite performer in the NFL over his first two seasons. How consistent? His average receiving yards per game clocks in at 88.4 yards:”
