Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 7/7/25
I was cursed at a young age with the knowledge that time flows and does not return, maybe you could argue being aware is a gift, but it certainly hasn’t stopped me from wasting my time, but what I do try not to do is wish time away, and whereas I am thrilled the NFL season is almost here again, I don’t exactly want Summer to end.
What we do with our time is hopefully in our control (to some extent), how fast time goes by is relative, so maybe the fact that Summer is flying by (for me) means that my Summer has been fun, thus it’s going by fast.
Either way, there isn’t a ton of NFL or Rams news lately (that’s not a bad thing), but there’s still plenty to talk about it, and I say enjoy the slow parts of the season because soon it will be August, then September and then we’ll be in the thick of the football season.
Before we know it, this season will be over and we’ll be gearing up for the next one. Time flows but does not return. Profound, I know.
Thank you for checking out Turf Show Times, hopefully you had a nice Fourth of July Weekend. Comment on whatever you want and try and have a good Monday!
The Rams Will Face a Few Hurdles in 2025 (si.com)
“Just two-plus years ago, the Rams mounted the worst Super Bowl defense in league history – largely due to a rash of injuries. Now, QB Matthew Stafford is 37, Adams will turn 33 in December, and fellow WR Puka Nacua has a lengthy injury history going back to his college days,” Davis said.
“Recently extended LT Alaric Jackson, who missed nine games with blood clots during that 2022 campaign, is currently coping with the same issue, putting his availability in some question. But while injuries have the potential to derail any NFL team, it must be noted that the Rams are also going to be part of a hotly contested division that could wind up being secured by any of its four members.

Former Rams Assistant Gives Inside Look at Houston Texans Offense (si.com)
“Caley recently spoke about the offense, an offense the Rams will take on in week one of the 2025 NFL regular season.
“I think we’re in the discovery process through Phase 2 [of the offseason program] when we get to work with them on the field,” Caley said. “Get an opportunity to see the different skill sets, different routes, different schemes we can potentially deploy this year. So it’s really an evolving process, and this is the time to really kind of put the rubber on the road and see what we can do and evolve from there.”

Which teams are legitimately in the Super Bowl window for 2025? (nbcsports)
“In the NFC, it’s the Eagles, Lions, Rams, 49ers, and Commanders. Maybe the Buccaneers. Maybe the Vikings.
Again, things can and will change. That’s why they play the games, as someone once said. All the time.
For those who like a little variety, it would be nice for someone other than the Chiefs to get a turn in the Super Bowl. And for someone other than the Eagles, 49ers, or Rams to emerge from the NFC.”
