The NFL draft has a huge impact on rosters across the league each year. For players currently on the team, if an early pick is used at their position, it could be bad news in terms of job security. On the flipside, if the team ignores a specific position, it could improve a player’s chances of making the team or clinging to a starting job.
For the Los Angeles Rams, they used 10 picks in the 2024 NFL draft, five of which were on defense. They didn’t pick a left tackle, quarterback or cornerback, which is good news for players such as Alaric Jackson, Stetson Bennett and Cobie Durant.
They’re among the winners from the Rams’ 2024 class, but Michael Hoecht is on the opposite end after the team drafted two edge rushers.
