The Rams gave up a future 2nd round pick to move up for Braden Fiske in the draft
The Los Angeles Rams traded up in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft in order to select Florida State defensive tackle Braden Fiske with the 39th pick overall. The Rams traded pick 155 in the 2024 draft and a second round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft in order to get Fiske and reunite him with college teammate Jared Verse.
The Rams drafted Verse with the 19th pick in the first round, so obviously Les Snead and company really liked what they saw when they reviewed film of the Florida State seminoles defense in 2023.

We will cover the details of Fiske in a separate post, but as for the trade the Rams now do not have their 2025 second round pick. Whether Fiske will be worth it or not remains to be seen, but it is very normal for Snead to sacrifice future capital for current needs.
