L.A. will certainly have rematch with Eagles circled on the calendar
With mock draft season in full swing for the Los Angeles Rams, it’s hard to believe the 2025 schedule will be released next month. The Rams have just three playoff teams on next year’s home slate, and five total.

L.A. has several exciting matchups on the docket—excluding the annual divisional bouts. Although the Rams facing Cooper Kupp for the first time will be bittersweet. Plus, the 49ers will be doing everything possible to disprove Kyren Williams’ “big brothers” declaration. That statement better not backfire in any way, Kyren.
Here are my choices for the Rams’ three most exciting games for this upcoming season, starting with the most obvious:
at Eagles
You knew this one had to be on there.
This is a matchup between two NFC powers. L.A. will be looking for revenge after being run off the field by reigning Offensive Player of the Year Saquon Barkley, who ran for what felt like a bajillion yards. Plus, Sean McVay added more fuel to the fire by speaking out against the Tush Push.
If the Brotherly Shove gets banned by the NFL, Philly is coming for L.A. Well, first, they’ll be coming after those soft ass Packers, and then for the Rams.
No matter what happens between now and then, this game will be a significant test to see whether L.A.’s run defense has actually improved.
vs. Lions
The Rams’ last two trips to Ford Field have not gone according to plan, so this time, the Lions are coming to Hollywood.
Detroit won those matchups by a combined seven points. Not much separates these two squads as they aim to make a Super Bowl run.
The Lions might be due for a setback after seeing both their top coordinators leave for head coaching jobs this offseason. Until that happens, Dan Campbell’s team remains the class of the NFC. L.A. must prove it belongs in that conversation if they have any hope of helping Matthew Stafford win a second ring.
at Ravens
The last time these teams faced off in Baltimore, Ravens wide receiver Tylan Wallace returned a 76-yard punt to the house for a thrilling overtime win. Nevermore! That game was the lone blemish during the Rams’ 7-1 finish to the 2023 campaign.
Stafford and two-time MVP Lamar Jackson combined for 6 touchdown passes in the 37-31 shootout. L.A. has proven to give top teams a fight the last two seasons, yet often struggles to put those opponents away.
Again, these are the games that the Rams must win if they hope to make a deep run. The Ravens will be one of the best teams in the NFL again next season, and Sean McVay will have his guys ready to play. It’s high time for L.A. to reassert its billing as a top dog.
