The NFL is continuing to try and find ways to expand its market
As Luca Doncic takes his talents to Los Angeles, there are reports that the Los Angeles Rams will be taking their talents to Australia in 2026. L.A. will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in what will be the first ever NFL game in the AU.

If I were a player I would probably rather just stay in the United States for my games, but as a general fan of the NFL I do think it’s neat and potentially smart business that the NFL is trying to expand globally. We’ve seen games in the U.K., Germany, Mexico, and just this past season a game in Brazil, and soon enough we’ll see a game in the outback. Crickey.
Philly played in that Brazil game, so perhaps they’ll have the edge when it comes to travel, but the Rams have played a London game before, and the contest will most likely just come down to coaching and execution the way most games do.
One has to wonder what else the NFL is working on and or planning in the international market, but for now the Rams can prepare for 2025 while keeping in mind that 2026 will present a new challenge. L.A., Philadelphia and the NFL have plenty of work to do before what could be a massive game in October of 2026 played across the pond.
It will be interesting to hear what Roger Goodell has to say about this news, as well as hearing head coaches Sean McVay and Nick Sirianni’s opinions on the new opportunity,
2026 will be here before we know it, and like it or not, here comes the NFL to Australia.
