The Los Angeles Rams officially secured the No. 13 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, which will be held in Pittsburgh, Pa., on April 23-25.
The pick originally belonged to the Atlanta Falcons, who traded it to the Rams during the 2025 NFL Draft for a chance to select James Pearce Jr. at No. 26.
As part of the deal, the Falcons also traded their second- and seventh-round picks in last year’s draft for the Rams’ 2025 first- and third-rounders.
Atlanta finished 8-9 this season and narrowly missed the playoffs. If not for the team ending the year on a four-game winning streak, the pick they sent L.A. would have been even better.
The Rams also have their own first-round draft pick, which is currently projected to be at No. 29. However, that could change depending on how the playoffs shape up.
Either way, the Rams will have two first-round draft picks at their disposal this year. What they do with those valuable selections is still to be determined.
The Rams could potentially package those picks and try to move up in the draft to select their quarterback of the future. L.A. could also trade one or both of those picks for an impact player on the trade market.
The Rams may also decide to trade down in the draft and acquire future assets, which is a strategy that paid off for them last year.
