The Los Angeles Rams are in the playoffs, but they have one more regular season game to take care of
The Los Angeles Rams (10-6) host the Seattle Seahawks (9-7) at SoFi Stadium on Sunday for the regular season finale, but this will not be L.A.’s last home game of the season. The Rams still host a playoff game next week after winning the NFC West. Because the Rams have more to play for than Week 18, I am expecting Seattle to come away with a win on Sunday.
Geno Smith will have about 6 million reasons to play, and win Sunday afternoon. First year coach Mike Macdonald certainly will want to end his initial year with 10 wins as he looks to foster a winning a culture. This game may not affect Seattle’s season, but it could affect their future and I expect them to show up.
The Rams will be resting some key players including leader Matthew Stafford, so in terms of talent Seattle should have the advantage in this one. The players who do play will have plenty to fight for as they try to secure their future in the NFL as a backup or otherwise.
This game may be “meaningless” to some, but this contest certainly isn’t meaningless to the organization, but it also doesn’t have the same weight that their playoff game will next week.
Seattle should do enough on Sunday to pull off their 10th victory of the campaign.
Seattle 24, Rams 17.
Of course, it’s any given Sunday, so you’ll have to tune in on Sunday to see which way this game goes!
