The Rams travel to MetLife Stadium looking for their fifth win of the year on the road.
The Los Angeles Rams found a much needed win against the Seattle Seahawks (+2.5) on Thursday night football last week in order to stay close behind the undefeated Arizona Cardinals in their division. After a slow start against Seattle in the first half of the game the Rams were firing on all cylinders as they scored on four of their six drives in the second half leading to a nine point victory. After dismantling their rival in Week 5, LA will travel to New York after a mini bye to take on the New York Giants in Week 6.
Currently at DraftKings Sportsbook, the Rams open as huge favorites over the Giants (-10.5) for their second away game in as many weeks.
The Rams have high expectations this season while the Giants are fighting to get out of the basement of the NFC East. A 20-44 loss in Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys did not help their case.
The home team is not getting any love from the sportsbook this week despite New York playing in their own stadium. New York took on LA just last year in a game defined by defensive play as the Rams did just enough to come away with a 17-9 victory after one of the more athletic interceptions of the year by Darious Williams sealed away the victory. This year two things are very different—Saquon Barkley is back on the field after sustaining a season-ending injury last year and the Rams offense is now lead by veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Following a Thursday night game Sean McVay is currently holds a 2-2 record, possibly the most memorable loss coming just last year in Week 15 when they were defeated by the winless New York Jets. McVay will look to improve that record this coming Sunday.
