Rams News: Kobie Turner Hoping To Face Seahawks Again In Playoffs

December 24, 2025 by Rams Nation

Kobie Turner, Rams, Seahawks

The second meeting between the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks was one of the best NFL games of the year, one in which the Rams improbably lost in overtime 38-37. One of the big stars of the night for the Rams was undoubtedly defensive tackle Kobie Turner, who made many huge plays.

Turner’s interception of Sam Darnold in the fourth quarter seemed to have locked the game up for the Rams as they held a two-score lead at that point and the big man also had 1.5 sacks on the night as well. Unfortunately, the Rams just weren’t able to finish the job and came up just short.

But after the game, Turner wasn’t holding his head down. The defensive tackle believes the Rams will face the Seahawks one more time in the postseason and expressed great confidence in his team’s ability to take them down if they meet again, via Arash Markazi of The Sporting Tribune:

“It’s kinda funny you say that. For us, we had nothing to lose. We just went down swinging. That’s a really good football team, obviously. It’s hard to beat a team three times in a year. We’ll see them again. We beat them once, they beat us once, we’ll see them again. At the end of the day, we’re in the big dance, that’s what counts, that’s what matters. I don’t care where we’re at. I don’t care if it’s freezing cold, snow, rain or I don’t care if we’re back home at SoFi. Wherever we play I’m counting on my guys and I’m betting on my guys. Obviously it was a big time game because we’re playing a really good opponent and it’s an opportunity to see really where you stand. But yeah, we had nothing to lose.”

Turner is right in that the Rams have already clinched a playoff spot, though Thursday’s loss did potentially make their road tougher as they dropped to the five seed with the Seahawks now holding the top spot in the division and the entire NFC, along with a bye. That could still change with two games remaining and the Rams having a pretty easy schedule, but that isn’t on the mind of Turner.

A third meeting between the Rams and Seahawks, ideally in the NFC Championship Game, would be a must-see contest as these two teams have been so evenly matched. And whether that game is in Seattle or Los Angeles, Turner and the rest of the team remains confident that they will come out on top.

Sean McVay loves where Rams are at despite loss to Seahawks

Kobie Turner’s mindset after the Rams loss to the Seahawks is right in line with that of head coach Sean McVay, who made it clear that he loves where his team is at even after the defeat.
