Rams News: Davante Adams Trying To Reach Super Bowl For First Time In Career

January 24, 2026 by Rams Nation

Davante Adams, Rams

The Los Angeles Rams are back in the NFC Championship Game after surviving an overtime thriller against the Chicago Bears on the road.

The Rams are now just one win away from advancing to the Super Bowl for the third time under head coach Sean McVay. They will need to defeat the No. 1 seed Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field in order to make that a reality.

The game has even more importance to Davante Adams, who is looking to play in his first Super Bowl. The veteran wide receiver has been to the NFC Championship Game five times — all with the Green Bay Packers — but never was on the winning side.

Adams knows how difficult it is to reach this stage and wants to make the most of his opportunity, via Stu Jackson of TheRams.com:

“Just having been here so many times and understanding exactly what it takes to get where we (are) ultimately trying to go,” Adams said. “So it’s obviously exciting to achieve the minor goals along the way that you ultimately need to do to get where you want to be. But it just feels like, almost like a mythical thing to me at this point. Like, you do everything you can to get there, and it’s been so hard, and been working so hard at it.

“We’re close. We just got to finish it off.”

Adams, now in his 12th NFL season, is one of the most accomplished players of his generation, but the one thing that has eluded him so far is a Super Bowl appearance.

The Rams advancing to Super Bowl LX would be even more meaningful to Adams as the game is being played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., only 15 miles outside of East Palo Alto where he grew up.

The 33-year-old proved to be a good addition to the Rams this season as he caught 60 passes for 789 yards and an NFL-best 14 touchdowns in only 14 games.

Adams has recorded seven receptions for 96 yards in two playoff games so far.

Rams’ Emmanuel Forbes Jr. & Byron Young expected to play in NFC Championship Game

Emmanuel Forbes Jr. and Byron Young sustained injuries in the Rams’ win over the Bears, but both are expected to suit up against the Seahawks on Sunday.

Forbes and Young are officially listed as questionable to play, but L.A. should have both players in the lineup when they take on their NFC West rival for the third this season.
