The Los Angeles Rams offense has the potential to be as explosive as it’s ever been in 2025 as the team secured a legitimate No. 1 receiver in Davante Adams.
While Puka Nacua is expected to lead the team in targets, Adams shouldn’t lag far behind as he’s still an elite separator despite being on the downswing of his career. Although Adams’ 2024 campaign between the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets was mixed, he still showed he could make plays on the field when given the opportunity.
In Los Angeles, Adams should be a focal point of the offense alongside Nacua as both players demand defenses’ attention which should open up the field for the rest of the team. He also has the benefit of having someone like Matthew Stafford throwing him the football, a massive improvement over the quarterback play he’s been accustomed to in recent seasons.
Ahead of the highly-anticipated release of NFL Madden 26, the popular video game franchise released its top 10 wide receiver rankings and Adams made the cut with a 90 rating, via Adam Schefter of ESPN:

Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson lead the rankings with 99 marks apiece, while Amon-Ra St. Brown, CeeDee Lamb and TyreeK Hill fall right behind them. Terry McLaurin, Mike Evans, A.J. Brown, Drake London and Adams then round out the top 10.
Adams becomes the second Rams player to make the top 10 list at his position as Stafford was given an 88 rating, good for fifth on the quarterback list. Curiously, though, Nacua was left off the list despite his strong close to the year last season.
Regardless, there’s clearly still a lot of respect for what Adams can do especially considering that he’s the oldest wideout in the top 10. While he may have lost some downhill speed, he remains quick in his releases and has a knack for setting up defenders to go whatever direction he wants them to.
McVay will surely find ways to maximize Adams as he’s proven he can scheme up ways for two receivers to thrive in his system. The possibilities are tantalizing with a player like Adams and it’ll be fun to see what he has in store for his first season in L.A.
