With Cobie Durant out, the Rams elevated a cornerback from the practice squad
The Rams are as healthy as any team can hope to be in December, so they made just one practice squad elevation ahead of Thursday’s game against the 49ers and called up cornerback Charles Woods. This will be Woods 11th game of the season and he has almost exclusively played on special teams.
Woods has 147 special teams snaps compared to 13 on defense. The Rams have already ruled out cornerback Cobie Durant (chest) so there’s a chance Woods makes it out there for defense.

An undrafted free agent by way of Illinois State, West Virginia, and SMU (remember when writers only had to cite one school that a player went to instead of seven or eight?), Woods was also the call-up last week in the Bills game. He played 17 snaps on special teams.
The Rams will not activate Tyler Higbee this week, while Demarcus Robinson (shoulder) and Beaux Limmer (knee) are questionable.
