The Los Angeles Rams didn’t play a great first half. Will they make the right adjustments for the second half?
The Los Angeles Rams trail the New York Jets by a score of 9-6 after the first half of play. Each team missed extra points, and both teams have made some mistakes preventing either squad from running away with the contest after the first two quarters.
The Rams opened the game up with the ball on offense, but they again failed to score any points. The broadcast commented that L.A. has only scored three touchdowns on their starting drives this year.
The Jets then took advantage of L.A.’s misstep with a 99-yard touchdown drive as Aaron Rodgers found Devante Adams in the endzone. New York missed the extra point, but they had a 6-0 lead with about 20 seconds remaining in the first quarter.
On the Rams’ second offensive drive Matthew Stafford threw an interception. L.A.s defense then made an impressive stop on a fourth and one to get the ball back to Stafford and the Rams.
Kyren Williams would be the one to earn the initial points for the Rams with a rushing score with 6:22 to go in the first half. However, Joshua Karty missed the extra point, so the score would stay at 6-6.
New York scored a field goal to close out the half as they took a 9-6 lead. The Jets should start the third quarter with the ball.
There are still quarters three and four to go, and it will be interesting to see which team can ultimately close this out and walk away with the win.
