The Los Angeles Rams may inch closer to clinching a playoff spot with a win on Sunday
The Los Angeles Rams (8-6) travel to the East Coast to take on the New York Jets (4-10) this Sunday, and due to L.A.’s current three game heater I am going to pick the Rams to come out on top. However, with all the dysfunction surrounding the Jets this season and this week specifically, fans should expect N.Y. to show up and give the Rams all they can handle.
If the Jets fail in this game their season will hit a new low.
New York could be without star defensive player Quinnen Williams, but they still have Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams on the offense. The dynamic pair went off last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Rams secondary has at times been exposed this year by star receivers and lesser-known players alike. This game very well could be a shootout between Rodgers and Matthew Stafford.
In theory, L.A. can keep up in a shootout with Stafford, Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp and Kyren Williams. As long as the Rams offensive line is healthy then this offense should be able to keep up with any team in the league. Yes, the Rams’ offense has that much talent and Sean McVay is still one of the best play callers in the league.
We have also seen the Rams not show up on offense this year, and that may have been due to injury, weather and various factors, but sometimes defenses have simply beaten L.A.’s offense.
The Rams started 1-4 and are now 8-6 indicating they could be getting hot at the right time. Another win on Sunday would keep the positive vibes in L.A. flowing.
Final Score: Rams 28, Jets 17
If you read my predictions then you know I can be wrong, so as always, we’re going to have to tune in on Sunday to see how this matchup goes.
