The Los Angeles Rams played a competent game, and earned their fourth win in a row
The Los Angeles Rams beat to the New York Jets in Week 16 of the NFL season by a final score of 19-9. Both teams seemed to struggle getting going in the cold temperatures, and neither team exactly took total control as the score was tied 9-9 going into the fourth quarter.
Both teams missed an extra point in this one which is why the score was 9-9 through three quarters.
Tyler Higbee made his return today, and he was the player to score the go-ahead score for the Rams with about 10-minutes to go in regulation. L.A. never relinquished that lead.

L.A. started slow on offense as they have though most of the season and failed to score in the initial quarter. The Jets took advantage and held an early lead, but the Rams did respond in the second, third and fourth quarters with scores of their own.
Kyren Williams scored the first Rams’ touchdown of the game, Josh Karty made some big-time field goals, and as mentioned above Higbee made his dramatic return with a catch and score.
N.Y.’s best drive was their first drive, but otherwise L.A.’s defense should be proud of the performance they put on the field today. Jared Verse and the rest did enough to stifle Aaron Rodgers and the Jets’ offense.
They forced a fumble by the future Hall of Famer, and despite a couple missed tackles they were flying towards the ball.

L.A. also made more than one huge fourth down stop to give life to Sean McVay and the team when they needed it.
What a play by Omar Speights!

L.A.’s special teams closed the game out on a muffed punt by N.Y. as the victory was sealed.

Are the Rams destined for the playoffs? Not just yet, but they are continuing to check the right boxes to earn a spot in the NFL postseason. The Rams play the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday, and this is the same Cardinals team that blew the Rams away earlier in the season.
Next week will be a good measuring stick to see how far the Rams have come since their 1-4 start to the campaign.
