Rams Injury Update: Tutu Atwell Returning Against Lions In Week 15

December 11, 2025 by Rams Nation

Tutu Atwell, Rams

The Los Angeles Rams offense has fired on all cylinders this season, with Matthew Stafford playing at an MVP level and Davante Adams and Puka Nacua forming one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL.

After returning to the win column last week, the Rams are now set to host the Detroit Lions at SoFi Stadium on Sunday.

L.A. will be getting back a key player for the game as wide receiver Tutu Atwell will be activated off injured reserve, via Stu Jackson of TheRams.com:

Atwell has been sidelined for nearly the last two months due to a hamstring injury. He also missed Week 6 and barely played in the Rams’ blowout win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in London after re-aggravating the hamstring.

The Rams originally planned for Atwell to return in Week 13 but he never got activated off IR because the team didn’t have the roster space.

Atwell re-signed with the Rams on a one-year, $10 million contract last offseason and was expected to have a larger role in the offense.

That hasn’t been the case so far as Atwell has only caught four passes on nine targets for 164 yards and one touchdown in six games.

It isn’t clear what role Atwell will have down the stretch, but he can make an impact with his game-changing speed and potentially unlock another element of the Rams offense.

Rams’ Puka Nacua named NFC Offensive Player of the Week

The NFL announced that Los Angeles Rams star wide receiver Puka Nacua was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14.

This is the second time Nacua has taken home NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors this season as he also won it for his Week 4 performance against the Indianapolis Colts.

In the Week 14 win over the Cardinals, Nacua finished with seven catches for 167 yards and two touchdowns. It marked the first multi-receiving touchdown game of his career and he ended up finishing three receiving yards shy of matching his single-game career high.

Nacua had one of the best games of his career as he was making ridiculous catches all day. Matthew Stafford trusted his top target in some jump ball situations, and Nacua came through for his team more often than not in the dominant victory.
