Rams Injury News: Omar Speights & Rob Havenstein Doubtful; Lamar Jackson Out For Ravens

October 12, 2025 by Rams Nation

Rob Havenstein, Rams

Following arguably their most disappointing loss of the 2025 season so far, the Los Angeles Rams enjoyed a mini bye week to reset and recover.

The Rams lost to the San Francisco 49ers in overtime, dropping from the top spot in the NFC West and giving their rivals a potential leg up in a potential tiebreaker situation. Los Angeles has shown they are capable enough of coming back and winning games, but poor execution in all three phases has come back to bite them.

The Rams entered Week 5 against the 49ers as major favorites because the latter was dealing with several key injuries and they find themselves in a similar spot as they take on a hurt Baltimore Ravens team in Week 6. Baltimore is even more banged up than San Francisco and have looked far from the AFC contender most pegged them to be in the offseason.

Ahead of the matchup, the Rams released their injury report and it appears Omar Speights and Rob Havenstein are considered doubtful, via Sarah Barshop of ESPN:

Speights suffered the ankle injury against San Francisco, while Havenstein continues to deal with his own ankle injury after being forced to miss last week. Tutu Atwell popped up on the injury report with a hamstring injury and is considered questionable, though Colby Parkinson is expected to be available despite being limited in practice after going through concussion protocol.

Steve Avila is set to start at left guard after Justin Dedich started in front of him against the 49ers.

The biggest injury on the report, though, belongs to the Ravens as Lamar Jackson is set to miss second consecutive game due to a hamstring injury. Jackson suffered the injury in Baltimore’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4 and was forced to exit. Cooper Rush is expected to start in his place on Sunday against Los Angeles.

This is another golden opportunity for the Rams to pick up a win against an injury-riddled team, though as they’ve shown it’s no guarantee that they’ll come out on top.

Sean McVay explains starting Justin Dedich over Steve Avila in Colts-Rams

Steve Avila was available to play against the Colts, but head coach Sean McVay explained he started Justin Dedich to give Avila more time to get back to his normal self.
