The Los Angeles Rams officially have the Nos. 13 and 29 overall picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, which will be held in Pittsburgh, Pa., on April 23-25.
The Rams secured the No. 29 overall pick after making it to the NFC Championship Game, where they fell just short to the Seattle Seahawks.
The Rams also own the No. 13 overall pick, which originally belonged to the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons sent the pick, along with their second- and seventh-rounders in last year’s draft for the Rams’ 2025 first- and third-round selections.
The Falcons moved up in the 2025 NFL Draft to select James Pearce Jr. at No. 26, while the Rams used their first selection at No. 46 on Terrance Ferguson.
The Rams have a first-round pick for the first time since the 2024 NFL Draft, when they selected Jared Verse at No. 19 overall. It’s only their second time with a first-round pick since taking Jared Goff at No. 1 overall in 2016.
Additionally, the Rams have the No. 13 overall pick for the first time since the 2014 NFL Draft, when they took future Hall of Famer Aaron Donald.
The Rams could go in a number of different directions with their first-round selections this year. For one, they could potentially package those picks and try to move up in the draft to select their quarterback of the future.
L.A. could also trade one or both of those picks for an impact player on the trade market, such as a cornerback or linebacker.
The Rams may also decide to trade down in the draft and acquire future assets, which is a strategy that paid off for them last year.
