Rams grab their second Florida State defender of 2024 draft in Braden Fiske
The Los Angeles Rams traded with the Carolina Panthers from pick #52 to #39 in order to select Florida State defensive lineman Braden Fiske. This makes for the second Seminole drafted by LA after they took OLB Jared Verse on night one.
The Rams are taking Florida State DT Braden Fiske at 39.

Fiske was a standout at the 2024 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama. He was named the Practice Player of the Week after switching teams the morning of the all-star game.
On the Rams
The Rams have a massive void to fill in the middle of their defensive line after the retirement of legend Aaron Donald. While Fiske won’t fill Donald’s cleats individually, he will join 2023 rookie standout Kobie Turner between what could be a formidable pairing of edge rushers between Byron Young and first round pick Jared Verse. Fiske projects as a three technique while Turner has more experience playing at five technique. Bobby Brown slots in as the team’s nose tackle.
Los Angeles has lost a fair amount of talent on the defensive interior in recent seasons, including Donald, A’Shawn Robinson, Greg Gaines, Jonah Williams, Marquise Copeland, and others. Fiske should help restock the cupboard and help first-year defensive coordinator Chris Shula generate a consistent pass rush.
