Both Alaric Jackson and Rob Havenstein are injured right now, leaving the Los Angeles Rams without their two starting tackles. With depth taking a hit, the Rams are looking at outside options.
According to Aaron Wilson, the Rams brought in free-agent tackle Conor McDermott for a visit. McDermott last played for the Patriots in 2023, while also making stops in Buffalo and New York with the Jets during his seven-year career.
He was drafted by the Patriots in the sixth round in 2017 but was waived before the season began. The Bills picked him up off waivers and he spent the next two years in Buffalo. In seven seasons as a pro, McDermott has played 55 games and made 17 career starts, 11 of which came with the Patriots in the last two seasons.
Currently, the Rams have Joe Noteboom at left tackle and Warren McClendon Jr. at right tackle, but they could use some depth with all of the injuries they’ve suffered up front.
