Apparently, the Los Angeles Rams and Dallas Cowboys just can’t get enough of each other. After the two teams practiced together in Oxnard last week and then played a preseason game on Sunday, they’ll meet again this week for a second joint practice – which wasn’t previously scheduled.
According to Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Rams and Cowboys have scheduled a second joint practice for this Wednesday at 11 a.m. PT in Oxnard, which is the location of Cowboys training camp.
Interestingly, the Rams were scheduled to practice with the Chargers that same day, so it’s unclear if they’ve canceled that practice or simply rescheduled it for another time. Either way, the Rams will once again visit the Cowboys this week in Oxnard.
Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy believes the team got quality work against the Rams last Thursday, despite a couple of minor skirmishes.
He sees the joint practices as opportunity to get his starters some work, considering the quarterback Dak Prescott and the majority of the veterans and starters will be held out of preseason games.
As Hill wrote above, there were no major incidents or fights between the Rams and Cowboys during last week’s practice. And while teams have mostly been avoiding back-to-back days of joint practices this summer, McCarthy and Sean McVay obviously feel confident enough in their players that there will be no tempers flaring during a second session this week.
