The Los Angeles Rams found a way to win their biggest game of their year
The Los Angeles Rams held on to beat the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 12-6 on Thursday Night Football. Each team struggled to move the ball, and into the fourth quarter the score was a lowly 6-6 as neither offense could get going.
In the end, it was L.A. who did just enough off of the leg of Joshua Karty to earn their biggest victory of the season.
It’s hard to argue the weather wasn’t a factor in this one as the rain poured down during the first half, and each team’s defensive contributions were more impactful than their offensive efforts.
In the second half, the shaky offensive play continued and the broadcast at one point shared this was the first matchup between the Rams and 49ers ever that featured zero touchdowns between quarters one through three. There were no touchdowns scored in the fourth quarter either so for better or worse this game may have just made history.
This was a contest that each team needed to win. Whether it was the elements or superior defensive play both offenses did not perform up the usual standard that fans expect from a Sean McVay and Kyle Shanahan team.
The LA. Rams started the season 1-4 and now are 8-6 with a chance to win the NFC West. Not a bad spot to be in. The team can enjoy this weekend, and then they’ll get ready to keep the winning going in Week 16.
