Quentin Lake Expects 2025 Rams Offense To Be Reminiscent Of Greatest Show On Turf Days

May 28, 2025 by Rams Nation

Quentin Lake, Rams

The Los Angeles Rams have high expectations going into the 2025 season after working out a deal to keep Matthew Stafford as their quarterback while bringing in All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams to replace Cooper Kupp.

Adams joins a talented wide receiver room that includes fellow Pro Bowler Puka Nacua and rising star Tutu Atwell. The tight end position should also be improved with first-round draft pick Terrance Ferguson joining Tyler Higbee and others.

Aside from those pass-catchers, the Rams offense will have another weapon in running back Kyren Williams, who has two consecutive 1,000-plus rushing yard seasons under his belt.

Quentin Lake believes the 2025 Rams offense will be just as good as “The Greatest Show on Turf” days, via Bobby Kownack of NFL.com:

“We got our future Hall of Famer Matthew Stafford . I call him mister long handoff,” Lake said. “I expect big things. You’ve got Puka ( Nacua) on one end, you’ve got Davante ( Adams) on the other. Tutu Atwell does a fantastic job, too. We have all the weapons that we need, and then Kyren ( Williams) in the backfield. It’s gonna be kind of reminiscent of The Greatest Show on Turf. I hope we kind of bring that name back this year.”

“The Greatest Show on Turf” nickname belongs to the St. Louis Rams offense from 1999-2001, which was led by quarterback Kurt Warner, wide receivers Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce, and running back Marshall Faulk.

The Rams went 37-11 during that era, leading the NFL in points and yards each season, while additionally winning one of their two Super Bowl appearances.

It would be difficult for any team to replicate that kind of success, but Lake believes the 2025 Rams have a good chance to do so.

Quentin Lake hopes Rams bring back Jalen Ramsey

During a recent appearance on NFL Network, Quentin Lake expressed his hope that the Rams will work out a deal to bring back Jalen Ramsey.

The seven-time Pro Bowler spent parts of four seasons with L.A. and lived up to his reputation as a lockdown corner while helping the team win Super Bowl LVI.

Lake believes the addition of Ramsey would make an already good Rams secondary even stronger. A trade for Ramsey is not considered close at this time, but the Miami Dolphins are likely waiting until the calendar turns to June so they could lower his dead cap charge.

In any scenario, the Rams are well-positioned to acquire Ramsey from a draft capital and salary perspective, and it sounds like many players and coaches in the organization want to see it happen.
