Eagles might have placed LA’s playoff hopes on life support
The Los Angeles Rams saw a dip in their playoff chances following a punchless loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in primetime.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, LA’s odds of making the playoffs jumped to +390 compared to +340 last week. The Rams fell to third place in the NFC West and are currently the 10-seed in the conference with six games remaining.
NFC standings
1 – Detroit Lions (10-1)
2 – Philadelphia Eagles (9-2)
3 – Seattle Seahawks (6-5)
4 – Atlanta Falcons (6-5)
5 – Minnesota Vikings (9-2)
6 – Green Bay Packers (8-3)
7 – Washington Commanders (7-5)
In the hunt:
8 – Arizona Cardinals (6-5)
9 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-6)
10 – L.A. Rams (5-6)
11 – San Francisco 49ers (5-6)
If the Rams could corral Saquon Barkley on Sunday, they could have moved up at least a spot behind the Cardinals who hold the tiebreaker over them. The struggling Commanders losing to Dallas thanks to yet another late-season collapse by a Kliff Kingsbury team also would’ve helped LA somewhat if they could capitalize.
Washington is likely the best bet to fall out of the NFC playoff picture regarding wild card hopefuls. The Vikings and Packers seemed entrenched into the fifth and sixth seeds. Green Bay will host a streaky Dolphins team on Thanksgiving that could give them issues, but the Pack’s 38-10 win over the Whiners helped someone in the NFC West.
San Francisco is stuck in last place (HAHA LOSERS!) and has the Bills in Week 13. Assuming Buffalo drops them to 5-7, either the Seahawks or Cardinals can take the driver’s seat in the division. Seattle sits perched atop the NFC West at 6-5 and has +175 odds to win it at FanDuel, followed by the Cardinals (+155), Rams (+450) and 49ers (+600).
Seahawks remaining schedule

Week 14: at Cardinals
Week 15: vs. Packers
Week 16: vs Vikings
Week 17: at Chicago Bears

Week 13: at Vikings
Week 14: vs. Seahawks
Week 15: vs. New England Patriots

With LA and the reigning NFC champs having issues, the division should be Seattle’s or Arizona’s to lose. There might not be a better chance to take advantage of the 49ers having a down year than this one.
