Who will come out on top in the Week 15 Monday Night Football doubleheader.
The NFL Week 15 slate wraps up on Monday Night Football with a double header. Kicking off the evening will a NFC North battle between the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears. In the second game of the night, the Atlanta Falcons will take the Las Vegas Raiders. While neither game has huge playoff implications, the Vikings have a chance to catch the Lions for the top-seed in the NFC. Meanwhile, the Falcons desperately need a win as they’ve lost three straight.
With the Lions losing to the Bills on Sunday, the Vikings are in contention for the number one seed. It’s very possible that the game in Week 18 is for the top seed in the NFC playoffs. However, the Vikings need to take advantage of the Lions loss and beat the Bears on Monday Night. Sam Darnold continues to have a good season and the Vikings will need him to show up in primetime.
In the second game of the evening, the Falcons have lost three consecutive games since beating the Buccaneers and Cowboys in back-to-back weeks. They went from being in control of the NFC South to needing a lot to go their way over the final stretch. A game against the Raiders could be exactly what they need.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Vikings are 7-point favorites against the Bears while the Falcons are favored by 5.5-points. The Bears look to be a team coasting to the finish line. Week 18 simply cannot come fast enough. The Raiders will be at home and Desmond Ridder will get the start at quarterback. The Falcons may win, but the Raiders could cover. I’ll be taking the Vikings and Raiders in this one.
The Picks: Vikings (-7), Raiders (+5.5)
Season Record: 20-23
