Puka Nacua won’t hit 1,000 yards, as he and 6 other Rams starters will be resting
It’s been apparent since they clinched the NFC West that Sean McVay would rest many key Rams starters in their season finale against the Seattle Seahawks, because that’s what the head coach always does in situations like this one. Now we know more names from the head coach himself: Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp, Matthew Stafford, Kyren Williams, Kevin Dotson, and A.J. Jackson will all rest in Week 18, while Rob Havenstein is going to be out with a shoulder injury.
Although Havenstein would have been held out anyway.
Sean McVay said Rob Havenstein (shoulder) will be out for Sunday’s game vs. Seahawks.
Rams will sit Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp, Kyren Williams, Kevin Dotson and Alaric Jackson. (McVay already said Matthew Stafford is resting).
Noteboom starting at LT, Jonah Jackson RG

McVay announced that Joe Noteboom will start at left tackle and $17 million per year free agent Jonah Jackson, who was benched midseason, will start at right guard in place of Dotson.
This means that the offensive will have at least 60% of the offensive line on the bench for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who will make his Rams regular season debut against the Seahawks. Rookie running back Blake Corum will also get his first extended appearance of the season too.
Nacua will fall 10 yards shy of reaching 1,000 yards. Not a big deal, but it would have been fun and looked good on the career history chart.
