At the start of the week, the Los Angeles Rams were 2.5-point favorites against the Miami Dolphins. It was a fair spread for the home team, even against an opponent with a 2-6 record like the Dolphins’.
But as the week has progressed, the spread has moved in Miami’s direction. According to BetMGM, the Rams are now only favored by one point, a shift of 1.5 points in the Dolphins’ favor.
It’s not because of major injury news, either. Though the Rams listed 11 players on their initial injury report, many of them are expected to play. The shift is likely because of people betting on the Dolphins to cover the spread.
Moneyline (ML)
- Dolphins +100 (bet $100 to win $100)
- Rams -120 (bet $120 to win $100)
Against the spread (ATS)
- Dolphins +1 (-110)
- Rams -1 (-110)
Over/Under (O/U)
- 50.5 (O: -110 U: -110)
This will only be the Rams’ third game all season being favored over their opponent, and that’s if the line closes with them as the favorites; it’s possible the spread will continue to move and eventually make the Dolphins the favorites.
In their previous two games as the favorites, the Rams won both outright against the Raiders and Seahawks, but they only covered the spread against the Seahawks.
