The Rams defeated the Cleveland Browns 36-19 on Sunday for their third straight victory.
This winning streak has brought the Rams back to .500 (6-6) on the season and placed them squarely in the playoff hunt heading down the stretch in the NFL season.
Below, I will look at the odds after week 13 for the LA Rams to make the playoffs this season and also check out a couple of other futures betting markets, including their Super Bowl odds.
To Make Playoffs
- No -180
- Yes +150
Even with the win on Sunday, the Rams are still unlikely to make the playoffs, according to the odds at a popular betting site for Americans. The -180 No odds imply a probability of 64.3% that the Rams miss the playoffs, while the +150 Yes odds imply a probability of 40% that the Rams do qualify (the extra 4.3% is the vig).
The Rams do have a tough game in Baltimore next week and a tough game in San Francisco the final week of the season, but in between those games, there are three very winnable games at home to Washington and New Orleans and a road game vs. the NY Giants. If the Rams can earn wins in the three games they should be favored in, they will finish with a 9-8 record and have a great chance at squeaking into the playoffs. And if they can pull out an upset in either Baltimore or San Francisco, then the odds tilt even more in the Rams’ favor.
Regular Season Wins
- LA Rams Over 8.5 Wins +100
- LA Rams Under 8.5 Wins -130
The odds indicate it’s more likely that the Rams lose three of the five games outlined above than win 3. The Rams will be big underdogs in Baltimore and San Francisco while likely being small favorites in their other three games, so the above odds do make sense.
To Win Super Bowl
- LA Rams 100-1
These recent three wins have kept the Rams season alive. Until you are eliminated from contention, you have a shot at the Super Bowl in the NFL. Yes, it’s unlikely that the Rams are able to go on a run this year, but at 100-1 they may be an interesting punt.
