Kam Curl Hopes To Re-Sign With Rams

January 31, 2026 by Rams Nation

Kam Curl, Rams

The Los Angeles Rams will have decisions to make on several players who are set to become free agents this offseason, including do-it-all safety Kam Curl.

The 26-year-old began his career with the Washington Commanders before joining L.A. on a two-year contract in free agency prior to the 2024 season.

Curl is coming off a career year that saw him record 122 tackles and three interceptions, including a big one against Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams in the NFC Divisional Round.

As he prepares to become a free agent again, Curl made it clear that he wants to re-sign with the Rams, via Wyatt Miller of TheRams.com:

“I would love to be back here,” Curl said on Monday. “This is a great organization, a winning organization. I would love to be back for sure.”

Curl reflected on the 2025 season and believes the Rams are trending upward:

“Winning 12 games in a regular season, that’s the most games I ever won,” Curl said. “This is the farthest I’ve ever been in a postseason. So just reflecting on the good memories that we created.”

Curl was one of the Rams’ most valuable players on defense this season as he not only played both safety positions but occasionally slot corner as well.

He excelled in coverage and was also dominant against the run, making 32 defensive stops and adding two sacks.

Curl is expected to receive significant interest as a free agent so the Rams will likely need to pay a steep price to keep him. L.A. could potentially use the franchise tag on Curl, but that is something they haven’t done since the 2018 season.

Rams’ first-round picks in 2026 NFL Draft locked in

The Rams officially have the Nos. 13 and 29 overall picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, which will be held in Pittsburgh, Pa., on April 23-25.

The Rams secured the No. 29 overall pick after making it to the NFC Championship Game, where they fell just short to the Seattle Seahawks.

The Rams also own the No. 13 overall pick, which originally belonged to the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons sent the pick, along with their second- and seventh-rounders in last year’s draft for the Rams’ 2025 first- and third-round selections.

The Falcons moved up in the 2025 NFL Draft to select James Pearce Jr. at No. 26, while the Rams used their first selection at No. 46 on Terrance Ferguson.
