The Los Angeles Rams are losing a key member of their front office. The Jacksonville Jaguars announced they are hiring James Gladstone as their next general manager, replacing the recently fired Trent Baalke.
Gladstone, 34, has spent the last eight years with the Rams, including the last four as their director of scouting strategy. He’s played an integral role in the draft process, working in tandem with general manager Les Snead to identify prospects and undrafted free agents.
The Rams knocked it out of the park with their last two draft classes and Gladstone played a major part in that, helping identify Puka Nacua, Steve Avila, Kobie Turner, Byron Young, Jared Verse, Braden Fiske and others as fits in Los Angeles.

It’s a significant loss for the Rams but a massive move for Gladstone, who becomes a general manager at the young age of 34. He’ll work with former Rams offensive coordinator Liam Coen in Jacksonville, whom the Jaguars hired as their new head coach this offseason.
