If you just look at the Los Angeles Rams’ defensive stats from Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills, you’ll see some eye-popping numbers. It’s hard to imagine a team winning a game where the defense played as poorly as the Rams’ did, but that’s what makes Los Angeles’ victory over Buffalo so incredible.
In their 44-42 win, the Rams gave up 25 first downs, 445 total yards, six touchdowns, 103 rushing yards, 342 passing yards and six touchdowns. They forced three punts, but the Bills’ other six drives all ended in touchdowns.
Not one field goal attempt. Not one takeaway. All touchdowns and punts.
According to Dante Koplowitz-Fleming of the NFL, the Rams are the first team in the Super Bowl era (since 1966) to win a game where they allowed six touchdowns and forced no turnovers. Previously, teams were 0-245 in such games.
Entering today, teams with at least six touchdowns and zero giveaways in a game were 245-0 in the Super Bowl era (including playoffs)
The Bills are the first to do so in a loss

The Rams don’t want to give up 42 points and let the opponent walk up and down the field the way the Bills did, but all that matters is they got the win. The offense finally put together a complete game and as poorly as the defense played, it was also going up against one of the best teams in football.
