Rams rookie Kam Kinchens made history this week
While Jared Verse and Braden Fiske battle it out for Defensive Rookie of the Year, Rams teammate Kamren Kinchens made history this week: Kinchens won Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, making him the first rookie defensive back to ever do that.
Kinchens, who also won Defensive Player of the Week three weeks ago by intercepting Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith twice, is the third player from Miami to win the award twice in one season, the others being Ed Reed and Antrel Rolle.

It would take a massive (and shocking) effort for Kinchens to ever have his name next to Ed Reed’s again, so why not let the rookie have one when he gets one?
The 99th overall pick, Kinchens had a career-best eight tackles against the Patriots to go with an interception, a forced fumble, and a tackle for a loss. As if it wasn’t enough that the Rams are getting so much out of Verse, Fiske, and Kinchens, his accomplishment comes on the heels of undrafted rookie Jaylen McCollough making some history with his fourth interception.
The Rams draft pick hot streak continues and grows more legendary by the week.
