Carson Wentz could pull a Nick Foles
Carson Wentz had a very short career for the Los Angeles Rams, starting one game in place of Matthew Stafford in 2023, and he could end up filling in for another Super Bowl winner this season. The Kansas City Chiefs announced that Patrick Mahomes has a mild high ankle sprain and is week-to-week, which means that Wentz could start for the 13-1 Chiefs with three pivotal games on the horizon:
It was actually at this exact same time of year when Wentz was injured against the Rams as the starter for the Eagles in 2017. Wentz missed the last three games and playoffs, allowing backup Nick Foles to lead Philadelphia to the Super Bowl championship.
Carson Wentz is the #Chiefs backup. He went 2 for 2 yesterday in relief. https://t.co/TqBZtDIiOH

Went had 163 passing yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception for the Rams last season. He appeared in Sunday’s game and went 2-of-2 for 20 yards in relief of Mahomes.
