Will the Buccaneers beat the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys will close out the games on Sunday as they go head to head on Sunday Night Football. If the Los Angeles Rams want the three seed in the NFC, a Cowboys win would go a long way. However, the Buccaneers have looked good in recent weeks and are in firm control of the NFC South.
Baker Mayfield has the Buccaneers rolling heading into Week 16. While the Buccaneers dealt with some injuries at wide receiver in the middle of the season, they have gotten healthier. Mike Evans has shown why his is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL while Bucky Irving and Rachaad White have been quite the duo at running back. At 8-6, the Buccaneers are in a good playoff position and will need to win to remain ahead of the Rams and the Falcons in the playoff hunt.
The Cowboys were officially elimiated from playoff contention in Week 16 after the Washington Commanders defeated the Philadelphia Eagles. However, the Cowboys will likely still give it their all with quarterback Cooper Rush under center. With Rush at quarterback, the Cowboys have won three of their last four games.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Buccaneers are 4.5-point favorites against the Cowboys. Mayfield has been playing well and the Buccaneers should be the better team here on Sunday Night. They should be able to win by at least a touchdown, if not more. I’ll take Tampa Bay to cover.
The Pick: Buccaneers (-4.5)
Season Record: 22-24
