Will Bo Nix and the Broncos get the win against the Browns on Monday Night Football?
The NFL Week 13 slate will wrap up in the Mile High with the Denver Broncos taking on the Cleveland Browns. Despite both teams heading in different directions, this should still be a good matchup. The Browns have shown that they have the ability to play spoiler, winning against the Steelers last week while the Broncos have shown periods of inconsistency.
Jayden Daniels has gotten much of the Offensive Rookie of the Year buzz, but it should not get lost than quarterback Bo Nix is also having a fantastic year. Nix has throws 16 touchdowns to six interceptions and has the Broncos right in the middle of the playoff hunt. The Broncos have the head coach and defense to help support Nix and he’s done a great job managing games.
The Browns were seen as a serious contender coming into the season, but will instead need to have some serious conversations this offseason. Jameis Winston has been fun at quarterback, but he isn’t the guy the Browns would want under center. The defense has also taken a serious step back. Myles Garrett is making a case to repeat as the Defensive Player of the Year, but at 3-8 it likely won’t happen.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Broncos are 6.5-point favorite against the Browns. With the Browns coming off of a big division win against the Steelers, that seems like a huge line. It’s possible that the Broncos could win by a touchdown, but Nix may struggle against Garrett and the Browns pass rush. This is a line that should be much closer to 3.5. I like the Broncos to win, but the Browns to cover.
The Pick: Browns (+6.5)
Season Record: 16-22
