It didn’t take long for Braden Fiske to prove he was worth trading up for in the 2024 NFL draft, bursting onto the scene with a spectacular rookie season. He led all rookies with 8.5 sacks, recording 44 total tackles, 10 tackles for a loss and 10 quarterback hits.
His explosiveness and quickness are what drew the Rams to him in Round 2, putting both on full display during his first season in the NFL. He flashed his agility in Week 11 against the Patriots when he got home for two sacks on Drake Maye.
According to Next Gen Stats, his second-quarter strip-sack was the fastest sack of any defensive tackle in the NFL this season, getting to the quarterback in only 2.32 seconds.
It was the fourth-fastest of any player, but the three players ahead of him are all linebackers. The next-fastest sack by a defensive tackle in 2024 was by Osa Odighizuwa, which was in 2.57 seconds (20th).
Per @NextGenStats, Braden Fiske’s second-quarter strip sack against the Patriots was the fastest sack of the season for a defensive lineman.
